New 3.06 GHz iMacs released...

Apple announced the new iMacs yesterday night... well.. not much upgrades unless you're going for the high end custom-to-order unit... as for the basic unit , the upgrade is a bump up for the processor to 2.4GHz... it still comes with 1GB ram (800MHz DDR2 SDRAM; supports up to 4GB) ... the second 20" is running on a 2.66GHz , 2GB ram , 320Gb HD... and lastly for the 24" , is running at 2.8GHz ... the specs in general is the same as the previous imacs..

but if you do customize the 24" imac , you can go up to 3.06GHz , 4GB ram (you can do the same to the rest of the iMacs..) , 1TB HD and the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS w/512MB GDDR3 graphics card....

interesting?? not so... not that exciting... no wonder there's not much 'hype' over the new iMacs upgrades...

after hearing out some 'rumours' floating around , i think June will be an interesting time for Apple products... 3G iphone?? imac-looking MacBook Pro?? , aluminium MacBooks?? ehehe... can't wait for that..

it's not that bad... the basic iMac is selling at RM 4799 now.. i don't think the price will change that much from that... most likely be cheaper by rm100.. dunno yet.. so it's actually quite affordable.. but have to compare the price with a computer of the same specs ar..
