30th May 2007 - Opel Manta... Part 1

Since Rajen have not posted anything on the Manta , I'll post something up for you guys to read..

30th May 2007 , 6.30am..... Rajen called me 14 times on my handphone to wake me up. I got up at the 15th time... my lights are still on , my phone is next to my PC... still charging... sorry rajen , the phone too far , can't hear you calling...

He's behind my house , outside my window , smoking... I was damn blur.. i rushed to the toilet and got myself ready in record time... meet Rajen outside my house... he's waiting at the end of the road.. the sky is still bloody dark... cold air blowing all around me... damnit.. this is the first time i got up so early this year..

We went over to Yong Len for breakfast... it's about 6.45am... I'm suprised it's open.. but the only shop which is ready to serve us is the Yong Tau Foo shop... so we had a quick breakfast and head on to the bus-stop... waited for a bus to Kota Raya ...

* i think this post will be a long one... read on if you want to..

After years of not using our 'efficient' public transport , we managed to get on the correct bus to Kota Raya..
-> RM 2... damnit.. it's expensive.. i remember taking the Intrakota to Kota Raya for 80 cents??

We reached Kota Raya about 7.30am.. walked all the way to Pudu Station (not that far).. along the way , there's like a dozen ticket-pusher preying on us like vultures... asking us to buy tickets from them.. scary wei... we declined their offers.. Rajen got us tickets from one of the counters in Pudu ... just in time for the 8 am bus... They are quite good... we left the station at 8am sharp.. The bus stopped at Bidor and Tapah before dropping us at Kampar.. i slept in the bus most of the time...

-> This is how the bus looks like... not bad laaa... not that comfortable to sleep in but what the hell la..

we reached Kampar about 11am...

**damnit... this journey is too long to write in 1 post... I'll stop here for now... it's already 4am.. i need to work tomorrow.. so i'll continue tomorrow... sorry guys..

Are you a Goth???

Is Your Child a Goth? Presented by St. Mary's Church
Source: www.stmaryschurch.org

Listed below are some warning signs to indicate if your child may have gone
astray from the Lord. Gothic (or goth) is a very obscure and often dangerous
culture that young teenagers are prone to participating in. The gothic
culture leads young, susceptible minds into an imagined world of evil,
darkness, and violence. Please seek immediate attention through counseling,
prayer, and parental guidance to rid your child of Satan's temptations if
five or more of the following are applicable to your child.

-Frequently wears black clothing.
-Wears band and/or rock t-shirts.
-Wears excessive black eye makeup, lipstick or nail polish.
-Wears any odd silver jewelry or symbols.
-Shows an interest in piercing or tattoos.
-Listens to gothic or any other anti-social genres of music. (Marilyn Manson claims to be the anti-Christ, and publicly speaks against the Lord. Please discard any such albums IMMEDIATELY.)
-Associates with other people that dress, act or speak eccentrically.
-Shows a declining interest in wholesome activities, such as: the Bible, prayer, church or sports.
-Shows an increasing interest in death, vampires, magic, the occult, witchcraft or anything else that involves Satan.
-Takes drugs.
-Drinks alcohol.
-Is suicidal and/or depressed.
-Cuts, burns or partakes in any other method of self-mutilation.(This is a Satanic ritual that uses pain to detract from the light of God and His love. Please seek immediate attention for this at your local mental health center.)
-Complains of boredom.
-Sleeps too excessively or too little.
-Is excessively awake during the night.
-Demands an unusual amount of privacy.
-Spends large amounts of time alone.
-Requests time alone and quietness. (This is so that your child may speak to evil sprits through meditation.)
-Insists on spending time with friends while unaccompanied by an adult.
-Disregards authority figures; teachers, priests, nuns and elders are but a few examples of this.
-Misbehaves at school.
-Misbehaves at home.
-Eats excessively or too little
-Eats goth-related foods. Count Dracula cereal is an example of this.
-Drinks blood or expresses an interest in drinking blood. (Vampires believe this is how to attain Satan. This act is very dangerous and should be stopped immediately.) -Watches cable television or any other corrupted media sources. (Ask your local church for proper programs that your child may watch.)
-Plays videos games that contains violence or role-playing nature.
-Uses the internet excessively and frequently makes time for the computer.
-Makes Satanic symbols and/or violently shakes head to music.
-Dances to music in a provocative or sexual manner.
-Expresses an interest in sex.
-Masturbates.
-Is homosexual and/or bisexual.
-Pursues dangerous cult religions. Such include: Satanism, Scientology, Philosophy, Paganism, Wicca, Hinduism and Buddhism.
-Wears pins, stickers or anything else that contains these various phrases:
"I'm so gothic, I'm dead", "woe is me", "I'm a goth".
-Claims to be a goth.

If five or more of these apply to your child, please intervene immediately.
The gothic culture is dangerous and Satan thrives within it. If any of these
problems persist, enlist your child into your local mental health center.

20+ Female Managing Director...

The stuff that you'll be reading is taken from http://www.competitivemalaysia.blogspot.com/ .... I find that it's just too damn interesting to be one of the few 20+ years old Managing Director... and she's a female (i'm not a sexist..)

Dian Lee....

A week ago, The Star feature a 23 year old Managing Director of Clearwater Development Sdn Bhd...Dian Lee Cheng Ling. She is the eldest daughter of property tycoon Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, the founder and chieftain of the Country Heights Holdings group, was named the Property Man of the Year in 1996 by Fiabci (International Real Estate Federation) Malaysian chapter.

Dian is the eldest of three girls and two boys. She reiterated that Clearwater Development was an entirely independent entity from Country Heights Holdings. What did Dad have to say about her striking out on her own as a property developer? He was supportive but, at the same time, reacted like any father would. He had his concerns, and when I needed advice I would go to him. Once in a while, he would give a bright idea as to how a unit should be launched, etcetera, but it just nice to sound him out,?Lee told The Star.

The profile of Lee’s partners reveals what one can expect of the project. They include renowned Singapore-based architect Sim Boon Yang and the rest — two investment bankers and a female lawyer — are based in Hong Kong. Except for Lee, her partners are in their 30s and 40s.

The project marks the debut of the 40-something Sim in the property development arena. The founding partner of Singapore-headquartered Eco-Id Architect and Design Consultancy Ptd Ltd, Sim has been practising architecture for more than a decade, designing boutique hotels around the world. So, it is not as if property development opportunities had not knocked on his door.

Sim was on one his regular business trips to Bangkok (where he has an office) when he met Lee at Bangkok Metropolitan — of which Eco-Id was the lead design consultant. As fate would have it, things fell into place very quickly soon after that meeting. Lee stumbled upon a 0.5-acre tract on Damansara Heights that was available for development. The feasibility study was carried out, followed by concept and sketches of the brain-wave.

Together with Sim, she spoke to property managers and investors around Asia while fine-tuning the concept for Clearwater Residence. Well-known Singaporean advertising art director Theseus Chan was roped in to help put concepts on paper. And eventually, the marketing and management team was formed.

Dian Lee graduated from RMIT University in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Professional Communication and Marketing. While Down Under, she was executive director of Country Heights (Australia) Pte Ltd, actively overseeing her family’s property investments in Australia. During semester breaks in the last two years, she was back in Malaysia playing the role of special assistant to her dad, handling a portfolio of property and hotel management projects. And this was her choice. “I get to meet and be exposed to interesting people. As his assistant, I follow him around and do the necessary follow-ups and events for him,” Lee told The Edge. “Ever since I can remember, I have been interning with my father during my summer breaks.” Lee attributes her attention to details to her dad. “I have a visionary father, whose entrepreneurship inspires me. He’s extraordinary; he started with nothing… I remember when I was 15 years old when he rushed the building of the Palace of the Golden Horses in time for the G15 meeting. He was practically staying on site for three months! I saw for myself the progress of the project — from the model to construction and then reality. It was so amazing.”Reported The Edge

It look like she work like those second generation of tycoon....Donald Trump in US who famous for The Apprentice.

Donald Trump move from her father's low cost house to upmarket customer today after he taste the wealthy person lifestyle. Dian Lee of course taste the wealthy person lifestyle when she grow up. The difference is Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew's Country Height already target upmarket customer from the beginning.

She's the other 20+ female who is also a Managing Director , Carmen Chua

Perfect Balance..

Was in Genting last Saturday 19th May 2007. Went up there with Rajen and Way 'Jay Chou' Kiat. I didn't plan to go but was too bored. I was in Midvalley when I received the call to follow them up for Coffee (it was just a lame excuse for Rajen to have company to follow him gamble). Was at Midvalley to get some stuff for my brother..

Anyway , on the way up , Way Kiat suddenly got our adrenaline pumping when he decided to be Jay Chou from Initial-D in his Proton Satria. Muthafucker... He started to drive like an asshole ... speeding at all the turns... and Rajen was filming the whole thing with his phone... at one point , Rajen told Mr Jay Chou here that there's a 90degree right turn ahead... and Jay Chou sped on... guess wat...

The car skidded like a mutha fucker... ended up by the side of the road... everythings ok... but for that 3 second of maximum cemas-ness , it felt like forever... ahahaha... so... everyone was laughing... (too much adrenaline...)
We continued our journey up and had coffee... and of course we proceeded to the casino... I didn't gamble.. so i was just going around looking at happy people winning money and sad losers...

Did I tell you that I'm supposed to work the next day and told them that we should head back down to KL at 2am??... it was already 4am when Rajen decided to play the pontoon game... damnit... after everything , at 5am , we headed back to KL.

On the way down , again , Mr Jay Chou wanted to show us how 'botak' his tyres are. The car skidded a few times , we laughed our asses off , overtook an Evo at full speed... got left behind by the same Evo later...took some videos...

reached home , went straight to bed... woke up at 9am to work... ahhhh... my life feels so nice right now...

Perfect Balance between work and play.. =.='''

I'm the Fool... ahaks..

You are The Fool

The Fool is the card of infinite possibilities. The bag on the staff indicates that he has all he need to do or be anything he wants, he has only to stop and unpack. He is on his way to a brand new beginning. But the card carries a little bark of warning as well. Stop daydreaming and fantasising and watch your step, lest you fall and end up looking the fool.

Artist/Albums that I'm listening to at the moment..

Craig Armstrong , The Space Between Us - This is a very cinematic , emotional , romantic album. Every album he does is great. I just love the way he incorporate cinematic feel into his music. The vocals for songs that contain vocals are stunningly mesmerizing.

Year Zero , Nine Inch Nails - I've been listening to his stuff since the beginning. As he progress as a musician , it shows maturity in his music as well. Its a mixture of rock and industrial/electronic genre which is just awesome.

Young Modern , Silverchair - I grew up listening to their Frogstomp album. They too have matured alot. But this album is a bit dissapointing because it didnt sound like Silverchair anymore. It's more like a brit-rock/indie band now.... but they are still good at what they are doing.

Manipulator , The Fall of Troy - It's been a while since i last heard bands like this... interesting guitar works ... that interests me alot. They're like a mixture of Mars Volta and Alexisonfire??? i'm not good at pin-pointing a specific style of music for bands today. Anyhow , they're quite interesting.

Lover's Requiem , I Am Ghost - I'm not really into these emo-ish bands.... but it's ok to listen to them sometimes... not much to comment... Certain songs have good duo vocals (male+female) performance.... guitarworks and everything else sounds the same like everything other bands in the same categories.

Next time , I'll post up Bands that I really like and have some kind of influence on me.... see yah..
