According to allAfrica.com , the family of Mr. Dennis Ogbonnaya Nwankwo couldn't claim his dead 24-year old son's body even after a year since his death. And this is happening in Malaysia.
The family was being told that the "body of the deceased Nigerian (Lawrence) has been deposited at Hospital UKM mortuary, Kuala-Lumpur by the police because the circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear.
After a year , I don't think the family will still be interested in knowing what exactly happened to their son. All they want is to have a proper burial for their son isn't?? it's that simple... but looks like the authorities want to find out the truth regarding what happened... well... i guess the family will have to wait... God bless them...

ahahha.... good idea huh... :)
it's standard procedure in most countries that when a foreigner dies, first they notify the embassy and from there find out why he/she died.
normally it's a simple natural death. however, if the person was involved in any criminal activity, then the body will be kept until the case is solved.
but one year is a long time...
too long man.... hmm...
